My memories of Steve are mostly from his childhood. His mother was my cousin and we would spend a day together now and then when our boys were young. Later on when I visited, Steve was usually off playing tennis or something and my son Barry would play with young Ian while we chatted. Neil and Richard both met Steve at events in more recent years. After the passage of time, I was in touch with Steve again on Facebook and when he moved to Horsham, a place I intended to live eventually, I had a very nice message from Steve saying that he would be pleased to have me as a neighbour!  How nice was that!
